While forest bathing is technically a form of forest therapy, the terms are often used interchangeably. A forest therapy walk is synonymous with forest bathing. As a practice, forest bathing varies among practitioners and guides, with most following a standard walk sequence designed to offer reconnection with oneself and the natural world. Forest therapy is a mindful practice of being in nature for our own wellbeing and that of the planet’s as it invites connection to all of life. It is a waking up to our wholeness, to our belonging to the Earth community and to our place in a vast universe.
The guide’s role is to offer participants a slow-paced, mindful walk experience that opens the senses through a series of nature-connected invitations.
Once participants shift from the cognitive thinking mind to an embodied experience they can connect to the natural world in an authentic and knowing way.
Below is a list of holistic health benefits:
Weather you are a person that meditates regularly, wants to try something new, or falls somewhere in between Forest Therapy is for everyone. Forest Bathing walks can be planned for one on one, couples, groups up to 20, teams, colleagues, families, and everyone that wants to be with the Forest. Most walks are two hours long, and do not require you to be ultra-fit. Walks can also be planned around ability levels or your specifications. Every walk is different, each participant experiences the Forest in their own way, and it's a beneficial way to give yourself permission to just be.
